Currently on amnesty; non-0 Visa got expired in June & permission to stay was until early-May.

Can/should I apply for 60days-extension at MTT?

Or any chances for a year-extension at CW - obviously with the correct paperwork & photos & Thai wife/daughter etc.?

Or....?

I think I know the answer already, but am not quite sure...

Thanks for helping out.

If you have 400k baht in the bank that has been there for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income they should accept your application.

Same situation here. Cm immigration told me the 400k only has to be deposited the day before application of the 1 year extension. However, does anyone know the cost of the 1 year extension based on having a Thai child? Thanks

all extensions are 1,900thb, for a child yearly extension i believe the 400,000thb does not have to season

Will that be for the one-year-extension? Is my understanding correct?

The income-proof will work for me.

To be honest, in my case I expected now '60days-extension' before being OK to apply for the year-extension.

When applying for a one-year extension of stay at CW, there is a special stamp they use to confirm your legal stay under Covid-19 until September 26, after which they process the extension. On the income proof, do you have an embassy letter, confirming your income?

You have to prove the 40k baht by way of a income letter from your embassy or proof of transfers into a Thai bank from abroad and probably proof of the source of it. The rules indicate that only 2 months of transfer are required for the first extension application but many insist you must have proof of 12 months of transfers.

Getting the 60 day extension will give your more time to apply for the one year extension.

Just wait a day or two I feel another amnesty extension coming on.

Maybe but it would be best to choose a longer stay option now since the land border closures and severe restrictions on entry are not going to end any time soon.

When you apply for the 1-year extension of stay for reason of Thai dependent child and using the funds-in-bank method the required 400K only need to be on your personal Thai bank-account (a joint one with your wife is not accepted) at the moment of application.

When applying for reason of marriage using that funds-in-bank method the 400K need to be seasoned for at least two months at moment of application.

> So when using that method to prove your financials and already in compliance now, it is possible to apply straight-away for the 1-year extension of stay, without the need for the intermediate 60-day extension of stay.

Thanks to all of you for the clear & quick reactions.

One last question though reg. income: instead of embassy-letter or transfers from abroad, I got a salary in Thailand from a Thai company. That worked in the past (2-3 years ago). Does that still work now?

I got the PND1-payment-copies.....

It would if you were still working.

But if you could show transfers from abroad since you stopped working them may accept them along with income from working to be able to show a year of income.
