Miss Universe Thailand contestants find a ‘spy’

Another beauty queen came under the spotlight on Monday after the manager of Miss Universe Thailand favourite Chayathanus ‘Cheraim’ Saradatta was found to be doubling up as an employee of the organising company.

The news was uncovered when a phone number on Chayathanus’ Instagram account turned out to be that of her manager, who was also working for organisers TPN 2018.

The revelation sparked a stream of criticism, with fellow contestants saying Chayathanus was taking unfair advantage.

Recently, Piyaporn Sankosik, executive director of TPN 2018, said: “We give Cheraim a chance to quit on her own. If she leaves now, she will have a chance to run again next year. This is not a heartless decision, but I must maintain rules for credibility. If she is exempted, how will I answer the other 29 contestants?”

Chayathanus has been quiet since the news broke out and has been excusing herself from events, saying is ill.

She is a favourite among young people not just for her beauty but also for her beliefs, such as legalising prostitution. Some student protesters have said she could become Thailand’s first president if they achieve their goal of introducing changes in the country.

Meanwhile, some fans have also slammed the organisers, saying it is not Chayathanus’ fault if a staff member misbehaves and that this issue should have been cleared up at the source.

Amazing how Thailand have an abandoned of beautiful women and somehow they always choose some weird looking chicks for a their beauty queen...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you must also remember this is Thailand and not someplace out side it .

Not beautiful, and legalizing prostitution is not a belief.

How about some pretty girls? I suggest this one.

They are selected because their parents are rich. (or sleeping with someone important) not because they are pretty.

Similar to government ministers, selected because of their family, not for their ability.

@OMF, no way too dark, needs white skin to participate.

The girl in the OP looks a bit 'blokey' to me.

And that's why they (Thailand) never win it and claiming the Half Thai girl from Norway does not count. It is a shame as they could probably hit the top 5 every year if they didn't choose the pasty white, anemic looking girls that they do everytime.

That's a great typo, don't correct it.

If these contests weren't fixed no one would hardly ever win over miss Columbia, Venezuela or Brazil.

As Aero Smith sang , the dude looks like a lady.

Don't mean to be pedantic timendres......but in English,  that is the correct use of the word---Belief = Opinion

it doesn't have to  relate to religion or any other order, but maybe its different in America

Belief-= a firmly held opinion. Oxford Dictionary

Phrases--UK Dictionary

to the best of my belief= In my genuine opinion; as far as I know.

be of the belief that--Hold the opinion that;

to the best of my belief = In my genuine opinion;

I believe it makes sense to legalise (legalize)  prostitution..........

A spy? For goodness sake. A conflict of interest which should not have happened. Is it explicit in the rules that the contestant should not be an employee of the organising company? I hope so, but if not, the company hasn't got a let to stand on.

Total nonsense of the younger foolish celebrity led generation - bit like saying the Kardashians or Beckhams should be the government due to their outstanding mental capacity

Except the Miss Tiffanys girls are prettier.

There are some beautiful contestants.   If i had about 3 no thank you will pass  cards I would let anyone pick one for me. I do think they should only allow 100% thai and no plastic surgery.    I like that dark skin beached gal but I'm not the tattoo type.

In the UK when someone says they have 'beliefs' it usually means they have 'religious beliefs' I does not make sense if you say I have the belief that prostitution should be legalised. You say I believe prostitution should be legalised.

Google her name and there are dozens of much more flattering photos of her.

I imagine she does not even know it's illegal. ????

Why would a manager be able to influence the outcome no matter what his job at MUT is?
