BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's headline consumer price index (CPI) fell 0.70% in September from a year earlier, a slightly bigger than expected decline, commerce ministry data showed on Monday.

Japanese businessman's round of golf turns into 100,000 baht credit card fraud

Police in Chonburi announced the arrest of a 44 year old female golf course cashier after she used a Japanese businessman's credit card to buy nearly 100,000 baht of goods.

STV not available to UK travellers - only ‘low risk’ countries able to apply

Thailand’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the new Special Tourist visa will only be available to tourists from countries deemed to be at ‘low risk’ from COVID-19.

Phuket in a Covid Crisis – VIDEO

Phuket is facing an existential crisis. Because of its semi-isolation as an island, it doesn’t get much “passing traffic” and is too far away from Bangkok to attract much ‘weekend’ business. Whilst the borders stay closed the island’s businesses face ruin.
