Let's not even go into numbers of how many people that have cancer have not been able to get treatments and have died, or the numbers of suicides, cardiac events and other things that have not been treated.   It will be way more than the 1 million worldwide who have died of covid, of which, the vast majority were over 80 years of age and had multiple cormorbidities.

 

Then we can add starvation, depression, unemployment and a myriad of other detrimental effects of this panic and fear mongering.

Yes, Lancet article retracted due to data concerns - that's it - nothing else.

 

I was responding to a member's query of the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in the US. based on the stark reality of the huge infection and death rates one assumes it was a total failure / very poorly managed, whatever. I believe Australia is going to trial hydroxychloroquine as a preventative drug, have to wait for the outcome, don't know about other governments success or otherwise with trials. The other stuff you posted had nothing to do with my reply so I removed from this post.

To be fair and transparent your comment on foetus cells seems to be incorrect; link below for reference.

 

Although the monoclonal antibodies infused into Trump were not made from or in fetal cells, Regeneron did develop that treatment with the help of a long-lived line of cells established from the kidneys of a fetus electively aborted in the Netherlands around 1972.

Guess you failed to notice the headline of the story linked - Secret Service agents, doctors aghast at Trump’s drive outside hospital. Also, the cherry-picked quote is by a "senior aide close to Meadows" - so not even all that high up the food chain, plus noted no objections this time about anonymous sources.

Assuming Trump is truly “symptom free” as they say, and he’s fought Covid and won, as they seem to be claiming, one of the drugs in his cocktail of cures was Remdesivir.

 

Remdesivir is a drug developed and approved under Obama (to fight Ebola). So, Obama cured Trump.
