libya 115 Posted May 2, 2007 Share Posted May 2, 2007 SOURCE: Pattaya People: May 2nd 2007 Hi Low Gamblers Celebrate on Labour Day Many people around the city were celebrating on Labour Day (1st May), and so were the gamblers. After a tip off, the Pattaya Police inspected a construction camp in Soi Thappraya 3, to investigate gamblers gathering and playing there. On arrival the police discovered a large circle of men sitting around a gaming board. When the police heard the cheers and the dice rolling, they were sure that it was “Hi Low” so identified themselves and made the arrest and took all back to the station. The team succeeded in capturing 12 men aged from 20 – 55 years old, together with the evidence of gambling equipment and 1,200 Baht cash. All confessed and stated that they least expected this visit from the police since it was Labour Day and it was also raining heavily. They had just received their salary and celebrated their day off.
