Work Permit And Registered Capital

Featured Replies

In the process of trying to get my work permit renewed.

The feedback I am getting is that due to an internal (no date or proof) memo in the immigration bureau the registered capital required has increased to 3M baht per wp.

In the past this has been set at 2M baht per work permit.

Has anybody heard anything on this subject?

Any news greatly received.

Cheers,

D

I haven't ... This feedback you're talking about - from what kind of person did you get it and in which province are you located? ... (Have to ask, because the provincial labour offices seem to disagree even more on how to implement rules, than immigration offices do).

You may try some searches if you haven't already. There was a post by Sunbelt in mid-March about an increase for some types of companies and partnerships. That increase was supposed to have been delayed until August 30, 2009.

Other than that, 2M baht or possibly less, depending on the other circumstances.
