Yikes! Fish with face like a human found in southern Thailand - no one dared to eat it!

Isn't that dead fish evidence of harming marine wildlife, removing it from the natural environment and animal cruelty?

Not really, someone's gonna eat it, independently of what the dumb title says. It's probably being cooked as I type this.

Actually those aren't teeth...those frilly appendages are floppy skin around the mouth mimicking worms

Oh yeah, they are a bit frilly if you look closely. "TVF IDs human-faced fish" ????

Looks very similar to a monkfish, common in Atlantic and Indian oceans, apparently very tasty with a lobster flavour.

Hey, I recognize him!  He was a drunk who hung out on Soi Bukhow.  One day he went to the beach and never came back, no one knows where he went.

May be he was born again ...as a fish ?

Sure does look a bit like monkfish. Ugly as hell but taste great.

The best part is the jaw meat.

It's sold for about 1250 baht pr kilo here in Denmark, so not a super cheap fish.
