Hi like some folks on this forum who got the permission to stay til November 30 I heard you can apply for an extra 2 months extension? I’m carrying US passport and used the embassy letter to get that November 30 stamp. If anyone has done or plan to apply for an extension on a tourist visa please add your thoughts. I’m cautious about going back still with news about a 2nd covid wave further more the situation is reported to getting worse.

It is not restricted to certain countries. Anybody can apply for one.

What documents required for this visa ...do they need an embassy letter?

It is a 60 day extension not a visa of any kind.

You only need the normal passport copies and they will have you complete and sign a affidavit. No need for the embassy letter.

Can I go to another city's immigration office because Chiang Mai Immigration denies the extension?
