More powercuts overnight ...

Featured Replies

Woke up this morning with my oven clock wrong which is a good indicator that there was another powercut last night.

Why are there so many powercuts recently? I understand sometimes lightning hits the generator but as far as I know last night there was only rain.

It's a 3rd world country, and it's monsoon.

Power cuts, water cuts and floods are the norm, they happen every year, always have and probably always will.

Because this is Thailand and they only do the absolute minimum to keep everything somehow running.

If the whole electric system was recently installed it might work for a while without outages, but after a few years without proper maintenance it will of course deteriorate which leads to outages when it's raining.
