the projections do indeed show a massive increase in excess deaths..

but there's no data which can be used to make those projections. We don't even know the full infection/death ratio because we weren't testing much during the peak when the deaths were actually high and alarming.

Let's see, another island country with a large population.... Japan! No lockdown, everything is open, no state of emergency since May.  Daily total of positive tests around 500, daily deaths from 5 to 10.  Why is the UK so different?

triangulation for measure depth is a mathematical fact,

and it take two eyes to triangulate.

back to your math lessons, and this time do your homework

Eyes don't use triangulation, you need 3 points of reference to do that. They employ the stereoscopic effect. Do your homework before spouting. A common failure of yours.

The United Kingdom, which has the highest official COVID-19 death toll in Europe, is grappling with more than 20,000 new cases a day. Scientists have warned a worst-case scenario of 80,000 dead could be exceeded this winter.

Naturally if you keep testing people you will get new cases, however in the statistics they shouldn't include those who have already had the virus, i.e. testing as a false positive as they are over it, suffice to say putting them all into the one basket inflates the figures.

Same should apply for those who pass away from underlying conditions, i.e. if they were infected prior, regardless if they had underlying conditions, they all go in the same basket when they pass away, however when someone passes from an influenza in the past, they are not recorded as passing from the influenza if they had underlying conditions.

Locking down will only make things worse, from a financial perspective and, the virus curve will rise and then drop after the lockdowns, only to rise again when they lift the lockdowns.

Best thing they can do is let it run its course with everyone being cautious and adhering to the basic rules, i.e. social distancing, washing hands often, and wearing a face mask when out and about.

Going down the path governments have been going with lockdowns will only bankrupt those countries, there are tens of thousands of scientists around the world who have voiced their opinions telling them that lockdowns are not the way to go, and most agree that Covid spreads more so at home, but the governments (corporations) won't listen, so much for open debates in democratic societies.

They stuffed all the covid infected elderly back into their care homes to infect the rest of the care home population.....which the UK is just about to do again?

Surely not. Have you a shred of evidence that they are about to repeat the mistake?

Thailand. I've shown you the stats. (yet again), and you choose to ignore them. Sweden's approach has failed, even the Swedish government now admit to that. Pity you can't.

The Swedish government could not lockdown the country, the priority was to save the economy. If you compare Sweden with Belgium. almost the same size population of ten millions, Belgium locked down and got now almost two times more deaths than Sweden, so who did the right thing? Time will tell but the Swedish economy is doing fine now and most of the workers that were laid of in the spring during the first wave have found new jobs.

Not to hand.....but Matt Hancock has authorized the elderly to be 'cleared out' of hospital back into care homes.....the Care Commission is currently charged with trying to ensure quarantining within the care homes and health care workers are being restricted to visiting just one care home.....everyone knows this won't work...we've been told every step of the way by SAGE you cannot protect the elderly in this way in order to allow everyone to go about their business.

Belgium is a very different country to Sweden. Try comparing Sweden to it's immediate neighbours, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

What you mean is "you think" it won't work. Again not a shred of evidence.

As I have been told...don't take partial quotes without the full context......."we've been told every step of the way by SAGE"

See the difference?

So not a shred of evidence, just an "I think".

Sweden's neighbors all locked down and have so far done great, they did not have thousands of Somali immigrants employed in the care homes, a major reason why so many old people died in Sweden. The Somali population in my town have five times more infected per capita compared to the "Swedish" Swedes, many of them don't understand the dangers of this virus and they also live many together in the same apartment.

so what ? death rate is lower then anywhere in europe

Current find current data. Here's one from May.

https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-health-coronavirus-sweden-casualties/sweden-tops-europe-covid-19-deaths-per-capita-over-last-7-days-idUKKBN22V26V

"STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden, which has opted for a more open strategy in combating the virus than other European countries, had the highest number of deaths in Europe per capita from the COVID-19 disease over the last seven days, data showed."

so i did just that, compared to denmark which is a neighbor to sweden, since you thought that for once would put sweden in a bad light, but alas sweden model still trumps all your efforts

How so? Far higher mortality than its neighbours. In May it had the highest mortality rate in Europe.

No trumping there, only Trump mentality towards facts on your behalf. If they don't suit your agenda ignore them or call them fake news.
