I get the bulk of my pensions from Norway and these are paid into my Norwegian bank account and then transferred to Thailand in NOK.

Sixteen years ago when I bought my house in Thailand I got approx. 6.3 THB for each NOK and now I get approx 3.2 which is a huge loss in pensjon income I have also read online that the NOK to THB exchange could fall below 2 THB for each NOK in 5 years from now making things even worse.

Because of this all investing in Thailand has stopped and we only buy essentials.

My question is there anything I can for example perhaps changing to a different currency to improve the value of my NOK when sending to Thailand.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

No, there is nothing you can do. Except hoping that USA will wipe out the countries around the Persian Gulf as well as Venezuela.

If Norway, at the same time, will strike yet another big oil deposit. Yeah, then it will soon reach far over the 6.3 baht you once had.

Except that according to many pundits now the day of peak oil has been and gone........hence the trashing of many oil companies share prices.

PS - you forgot Russia.
