Gradually opening its borders to 'low risk countries' such as Australia and New Zealand? The countries that Australia have mentioned as low risk travel bubbles so far are NZ,Taiwan,Japan and South Korea. Not one mention of Thailand and the other party central Bali as since early March there has been NO International scheduled flights out of Oz for Australians to anywhere.Only Emirates,Qatar and certain special chartered planes flying ex-pats in and out with Qantas stating July next year before they fly again regular International. In short we will only be visiting Thailand if we can row there ourselves I'm afraid!

Not entirely correct. Thailand is not currently considered safe to travel to by the Australian Govt.

But If you have an OA visa you can return to Thailand providing you have a valid reason to leave Aust'. and you must be away for at least 3 months

There will be no scheduled flights to Thailand for at least another 6 months from Oz.Yes special 'extreme circumstances'have meant individuals have been allowed overseas for family reasons..with a lot of jumping through hoops to get that granted.If/when a travel bubble is negotiated Thailand will be way down the pecking order I'm afraid ..
