BANGKOK (NNT) - Yesterday, at a meeting of the National Public Relations Committee, chaired by Deputy PM Wisanu Kruangamวิษณุ เครืองาม, there was a discussion on the public’s media discretion and the prevention of the spread of fake news using facts.

The meeting was also attended by Minister to the PM’s office Anucha Nakasai, as a deputy chairman of the committee.

The Deputy PM stressed that there has been much fake news created by people who want to see the country damaged.

All authorities and people in the media field must provide correct information through platforms under the government, including Government’s Spokesperson, the PRD and others. During the meeting, committees also considered projects that can detect and address online fake news.

  • So it looks like Wisanu  is going to get rid of T.A.T. because more fake news comes from them, than anywhere else.????

Once "eliminating fake hair" comes into the picture, he's going to be in a heap of trouble.

Well, one person's "fake news" can be another person's "pure truth". Wisanu and his ilk have proven that often enough in the recent past.

And there is NO PROSTITUTION  in Pattaya.

Truth differs from one person to another, as we all see things slanted by our own perspective. On thing though is that governments generally only see truth as whatever furthers their interests.

The defamation laws don't even seem to recognise truth as a mitigation. You can go to jail for an honestly held opinion of how you thought you were treated at a hotel and resort.

Fake news, so last decade..

Shhhh, Rumak, discussing moderation is against the forum rules!

Blowing smoke rings from your orifice won't disguise the fake news happens to be true! and it's the fake government don't want to believe it that's the problem ????????

I was wondering about that too, you beat me to it.

Unless he meant alternative facts. Problem is, it seems to be the government producing most of those.

Yeah right. 'Correct'?  Where's the facts gone?

So what are they going to do about the international news services that are reporting.

Nor in Patong, for the time being.

He hasn't been in the news for a while.   He wants to crack down when the international media finally found out about what happens to those who leave bad reviews on Tripovisor.   He is just another idiot with an iron fist.

Congratulations!

Put a muzzle on your entire government.

Fake news has been solved.  The only fake news is from Thailand, nowhere else!
