Public urged to watch COVID-19 symptoms in winter

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health has advised the general public to keep an eye on their health in winter, especially for flu-like symptoms which could be from COVID-19. The ministry has also warned the public to be cautious of handling virus contaminated parcels.

SET rises despite concerns over second Covid wave in many countries

ROME (Reuters) - Restrictions aimed at slowing a surge in coronavirus cases will be extended in various Italian regions, with both Tuscany and Campania set to be designated as high-risk "red zones", the health ministry said on Friday.

Ministry cracks down on online gambling, arrests 140 people running websites

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society has shut down 1,457 URLs of websites suspected of running online gambling, and arrested 140 offenders involved in those websites, with estimated rotating money of more than Bt21.7 billion, minister Buddhipongse Punnakanta said.

Expat awaits trial for drug charges, mother in England worries and works to pay the bills

While 27 year old expat Louis Bentley awaits trial in Thailand for drug charges, his mother back in England is working 12 hour shifts to pay her son’s bills. For his mother, Michaela, the anticipation of waiting for the her son’s February court date, in a country so far from her with laws she’s unfamiliar with, has been “horrendous.”
