The Ministry of Finance and Krungthai Bank have agreed to change the money transfer criteria to businesses participating in the government’s shopping subsidy scheme “Khon La Khrueng” (Let's Go Halves), Government deputy spokeswoman Ratchada Thanadirek said on Friday.

PHUKET: Local vendors operating small stalls are reporting that the government’s “Khon La Khreung” (Let’s Go Halves) campaign, whereby the government pays 50% of the bill for items charged by registered vendors, has greatly boosted small-item sales.

HANOI/MANILA (Reuters) - Vietnam was bracing for Typhoon Vamco to make landfall in the country's central coast early on Sunday, as the death toll in the Philippines rose to 53 from that country's deadliest storm this year.
