GENEVA (Reuters) - Fresh lockdowns in Europe are avoidable, including through near-universal mask-wearing, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Europe office said on Thursday.

Hans Kluge, WHO regional director for Europe, told a press conference: "Lockdowns are avoidable, I stand by my position that lockdowns are a last resort measure. If mask use reached 95%, lockdowns would not be needed."

Primary schools should be kept open, he said, adding that children and adolescents are not driving spread of the new coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2 and school closures are "not effective".

This from the people who told us not to wear masks.

The Bandar would have more idea than these guys.

Yes, and caused so many deaths in that first European, winter outbreak.

For the life of me can't understand why it took the WHO and western "experts" to get their arms around face masks. And then it became political, so silly and sad.

The 5% who would not be required to wear masks are the world's HiSos, the wealthy, corporate executives, world and regional leaders, their families, and their friends.
Commoners?  Mask up!  It's the LAW.
