The new patients included six Thai nationals -- four women and two men -- and four foreigners.

The Thai women, aged 30, 43, 52, and 22, arrived from Sweden, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. The two men, aged 61 and 25, returned from the US.

The foreign patients were a Dutch man, 55, who came from Germany, a Swiss man, 56, who came from Switzerland, a Belgian man, 32, from his hone country and an Indian girl, 15, from India.

The total number of confirmed cases in Thailand increased to 3,902 (943 in state quarantine), 11 are in hospital, 3,756 have recovered and been discharged and 60 have died.

According to Worldometer, as of 10am on Saturday, the total number of confirmed cases increased to 57.9 million (up by 659,511), 40.1 million have recovered, 17.8 million are active cases (102,207 in severe condition) and 1.37 million have died (up by 11,086).

I do hope those who promote "end the quarantine, open the country up" read these posts.... quarantine seems to be working, ya think?

I am going to guess that many of these have been false positives.  The the PCR test that is used in Thailand and elsewhere does not confirm the presence of COVID, there is no test that does this.

 They don't read these posts.

They usally talk about the economic impact - bizarrely ignoring their own countries in Europe are back in lockdown because of opening up. At least Thailand's domestic economy is open.

They often cite loss of life as acceptable.

They often cite Sweden, which has suffered a horrendous health crisis, and are now putting into effect lockdown protocols. As well as the economy tanking 10%

Four foreigners Six Thais among 10 new Covid-19 cases in quarantine

There are more Thais found positive so they should be in the headline. But then they aren't dirty foreigners, are they. Just more subtle racism from the Nation. They don't even simply state 10 new cases, just emphasise that four are 'aliens' (official government terminology).

Surprised anyone is still bothering to come to what must be a totally infected ASQ ????

Would love to see how many people would show a positive test upon arrival or after first ASQ test if everyone on the plane was made to take a 72 hr limit PCR test. This letting untested Thais on flights while everyone else has to have a test is pointless !!

Ever heard of cleaning?

You have to consider airports and planes to be very high risk because all the staff do not have to have quarantine.  Airline crew or pilots do not have to quarantine they might stay for 2-3 days then go another flight.  I think a lot of people must become infect with covid while traveling to Thailand or perhaps in quarantine if your neighbor has it and your window is open etc.

Self isolation is not the same was quarantine. Every one working at the airport or airlines are high risk. With hotel quarantines every day there a few people with covid are found.

So I now wonder if the Chinese that have been arriving were already vaccinated, as not one has been shown to be positive through the quarantines.

Almost a million people have been given an experimental Chinese coronavirus vaccine (msn.com)

must be completely out of his mind or really desperated to accept this trash vaccine into his body.
