Anyone know what breeds my puppy might have originated from? He arrived from Issan last month. He is getting quite large. He loves water and is very lively. That's all the info I have. Any pet detectives out there?

Thanks

could be a rotti or pitbull in it... as he is bigger and his eyes further apart than usual thai mix dogs.

I agree blowing the pic up looks a nice pup nearly looks like Chocolate lab pup the head looks like Lab, or as Elf says Rotti, has he got big paws this is a good way of telling what size dog he/she will be ?

Hmmm, looks like he's got marking similar to that of a rottie or dobermann. Though, on the pic his muzzle is a bit narrower that a rottie.

For now, my best guess is rottweiler-thai dog mix.

Have a look in a couple of month ...

nice set of paws on him....

whatever he is, socialize him well, and train him well... and if he likes water, maybe u lucked out and got some lab mix in him as well. when his adult coat comes in u might beable to tell more of what he is.

hmmm.. some german shepherd colouration there also... thai soi dog mix x rottie looks to me also. maybe the soi mix had some shepherd or lab in there, sometimes dogs look like grandparents and not parents.

Thanks for some very useful clues as to who his mum and dad were. I'll post some pictures when he's bigger. He's got huge paws - great for swimming and tearing out the plants. He seems to be growing very quickly. I suspect he's going to to eat me out of house and home. If he sees chicken in my hand he tries to bite my arm off.
