Chinese authorities warned doctors, who responded to the novel coronavirus in the early stage of the outbreak in Wuhan, that they could be punished for espionage if they revealed what went on during the period, local sources said Wednesday.

Medical workers in the central Chinese city, where the virus was first detected late last year, were also urged not to speak at all about the situation then, the sources said on condition of anonymity.

Such moves underscore how the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping, which has been come under international criticism for allowing the virus to spread to the world due to the delay in its initial response, tried to cover up the outbreak in Wuhan.

When the Australians took initiative to investigate the origin of the Wu-flu, they were firmly put on the bad boys list and punished.  Maybe the bio lab had a leak after all.

If it doesn't bode well it sounds like we won't hear about it as it will be gagged.

It's almost like they've got something to hide ????

I read somewhere that the Chinese have started refusing entry to British MPs in government for some reason unknown.

so much so that today China imposed a 200% import duty on any wine coming from Australia.....

I would of thought the gag order would of been last winter, why 10 months or more after the event? Something doesn't add up here..

It's the ongoing loss of face that they just cant come to terms with! They will never admit their many faults!

The CCP wants to keep its credentials as a regime that brought the virus under control burnished, so it can say its method of government is superior to those decadent Westerners. Hence the gag order on what really happened.

Not the first time politicians have sidelined, ignored or suppressed scientists, is it?

it's possible, but seems to be more in line with the "sources say" disinformation you find in the epock times.  a quick bing search didn't find anything else on the topic during the past week.  no other news organizations have picked up on it yet.  surprising given the speed of spread on the intertubes.

until we see some real details, i'll put it in the same category as articles by sidney powell, written for the true believers to have something to link to.

Because it seems so out of chatacter for the Chinese govt? A govt that has banned the use if the word "Pooh" because it might be being used as an epithet for Xi?

China initially did try to blame it on the US, (Army CIA) to the locals. Unfortunately a group of Chinese first responder Doctors in Wuhan had already been releasing information. You might recall the one Doctor who died from Wuhan 19?! Dr Li Wenliang warned about a Sars-like virus at his hospital in Wuhan, authorities tried to silence him. But too late and that first deflection/conspiracy theory that China put out for its own citizens was toast.

You need to up your conspiracy theory game. You're 11 months behind.   ????

no, i typed too soon.  fired up the vpn so's i could google it.

it's spreading..........like a virus.   so far it's hit electronicsward.com, cricketbazus.com and reddit under china_flu.  someone should do a study to see how stories like this are transmitted from site to site.

In Europe they found traces of the virus which goes before the Wuhan virus. Keep in mind they still haven't found patient zero yet ... so maybe it's not even Chinese ...

uniindia.com website apparently not wearing their digital mask.

it is spreading.

be afraid.

I also looked around and found nothing about it. Considering the implications it should of been on every mainstream news agency, thus for me it doesn't add up..

I wonder when the world is going to wake up and treat China the same way it treats everyone else.  They all just seem obsessed with buying cheap <deleted> and offshoring.

It says something when Trump is the one with the most sensible foreign policy.

I'm sure the usual suspects China fanboys on this forum will be here right away, that these are all lies, and it is a conspiracy set up by MSM.

Nuke them now

Yes and banning coal, timber, crayfish, cotton among other imports.

I’ve seen quite a few articles about this, starting with the Doctor who died and then the lady head of the Chinese laboratory who was apparently world known in her studies.
