Good to know that Saddam Hussein among many others was not a dictator. He held elections, too.

  • trump's 'big lie' continues claiming the Dems stole the election, whereas it is he who is attempting to steal the election.

  • Time to hang up the gloves Donald. You're a one term loser and the more you open your mouth, the stupider you make yourself look! You're a disgrace!

  • What’s incredible is that there are people out there who actually believe Trump’s lies.

There were some suggestion on here that he would refuse to leave the White House and that the Proud boys would be outside protecting him and the building and that Antifa would have to take up arms to remove him and a civil war would break out  ????

I am a regular on Trump posts and I cannot remember a single post infering any of what you are saying here. Never seen anyone talking about 'Proud boys would be outside protecting him' nor 'Antifa would have to take up arms to remove him and a civil war would break out'.

Please either provide evidence of this or accept you are mearly putting words into the mouths of us who are less of a fan of Trump than you appear to be.

There were some suggestion same same

everyone is saying

But yeah, that's the kind of chatter on the crazy conspiracy stuff outlets.

"Well, I heard..."

https://www.wired.com/story/antifa-social-media-rumor-forks-washington/

In the paragraph that begins The officer had heard the antifa rumors and stopped to talk to one of the men

you'll get a glimpse of how they talk these things up.

Fun time for you to check the current list of dictators that held elections. Your non dictator Putin and Kim in the list.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest.....a prerequisite for any fan of Trump.

Stating that he intends to run for POTUS again in 2024 , seems to suggest that he has accepted the election defeat .

What else could he mean ?

He is trying for another four years , if that fails , he will run again in four years time , meaning he will step down as POTUS in January

So he has not accepted, so your earlier post was not true.

Yes, that is what the word means , now, explain why you are calling Trump a dictator

Jeez...have to spell it out...

Quote

A dictatorship is a state ruled by one dictator or by a small clique.

That would be Trump and his GOP enablers.  A small clique.  Thus, a dictatorship.

Quote

"dictator" came to be used almost exclusively as a non-titular term for oppressive rule.

Yup.  Describes Trump's rule.

Quote

Thus, in modern usage, the term "dictator" is generally used to describe a leader who holds or abuses an extraordinary amount of personal power.

Mueller claimed abuse of power many times in his report.  So, yes, a dictator.

Come on.  The following describes his rule to a T.

Quote

suspension of elections and civil liberties; proclamation of a state of emergency; rule by decree; repression of political opponents; not abiding by the rule of law procedures, and cult of personality. Dictatorships are often one-party or dominant-party states.

Especially the cult of personality.  Explains things perfectly.  A dictator.

This is a dictator who refuses to accept legitimate election results by propagating lies and mistruths through rhetoric containing zero facts.

Accepted? You're joking.

There is the senate as well , which plays a part in decision making ,which shows your statement to be incorrect

  Seems he has accepted .

Stating he may run in 2024 shows it , if he fails to keep the job in 2021

Ummm...that's in the description.  A small clique.  Please, read the description again.

Pretty much all Trump supporters live in an alternate universe.  As we can tell here on this thread.

See your own post 'if he fails to keep the job'. He is still trying, so no, he has not accepted. He may accept, but so far, no.

I heard that too, but I put it down to misinformation campaign. I doubt any one would think that was possible in the real world.

There again many of the "Walt's" (Walter Mittys) who form the majority of the right wing militias are certainly not connected to the real world. They have spent all that money on weapons and the latest "Gucci" webbing and combat kit, and may be tempted to do something more than just pose occasionally!

They wouldn't last 5 minutes, but if, in Washington on the 20th of next month, you hear some gunshots, and then a fat man in combat kit waddles down the road as fast as he can, then you will know that they have been tempted to try.

Personally, and perhaps perversely, I think it might be a good thing, as it would remove these (dangerous) clowns from the American political theatre...

  OK, OK , OK

He has indicated  that he will accept the election result , if the legal cases are not upheld .

There was some suggestion that he wouldnt accept the vote if he lost , and I meant it in that respect .

He has accepted he may lose the election and will stand down, is what I meant .

  Sorry for the confusion

Um...wow.  So you're saying you're OK with the POTUS claiming there was massive fraud and the elections were rigged?  Clearly lies.  But you're OK with that?  Stunning.

I think you're losing touch with this thread.  My post was in reference to the video.  You should listen to it.  But I'm sure after that, you'll give him a pass.

The actual fraud is actually coming from Mr. Trump.

But that's what he always does.

Make a big stink about others as an aggressive defense tactic to deflect attention away from his own many, many, many faults.

Opinion | There sure is evidence of fraud. Just not the fraud Trump is ranting about. - The Washington Post

OK, the bickering exchange about defining a dictator has run its course, and further bickering exchanges over Trump have been removed.

Trump's relentless deluge of baseless and disapprove claims about election fraud is ripping the party apart. His legal team of lunatic lawyers have been holding 'stop the steal' rallies in Georgie and calling voters to boycott the January run-offs. This is sweet karma for the GOPS that allow Trump to ride roughshod over them and have no fortitude to criticize him. Trump has no interest in the party's well being but to himself.

But in this case it is not revelation.

After complaining for months that he would be cheated, it appears the Trump campaign did little — if anything — to guard against vote theft. Not only that, they were woefully unprepared to seek legal redress once Election Day passed. His bumbling legal team has been shot down by both Republican and Democratic judges with hardly a victory. One wonders: Can Rudy Giuliani even fix a parking ticket?

Yeah, the chickens are coming home to roost on this one.  The GOP has been a party of cowards, fearing Trump and his loony base.  The fear is mostly about self-preservation, not wanting to get "primaried."  Trump's craziness has resulted in death threats to loyal, patriotic Americans from the GA Sec of State, to Dr. Fauci, to the Michigan GOV...just to name a few.  The GOP leadership has been silent.  The Dems winning the 2 senate seats in GA is a longshot, but if there's such a thing as karma, the GOP really deserves to lose this one.

Does this work better for you?

"At the "Stop The Steal" rally in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Wednesday, she (Sidney Powell) said that Republicans and other voters should boycott elections until voting systems are made secure."

'"I would encourage all Georgians to make it known that you will not vote at all until your vote is secure – and I mean that regardless of party," Powell said, according to Fox News. "We can't live in a republic, a free republic unless we know our votes are legal and secure."'  https://www.businessinsider.com/sidney-powell-says-boycott-georgia-runoffs-but-gop-needs-votes-2020-12

How about this one:

"Lin Wood, an attorney who has worked alongside Powell to file longshot election lawsuits in Georgia, told rallygoers Wednesday they should only vote for Perdue and Loeffler if they “earn” their votes by pushing the state legislature to reverse the election’s outcome, handing Georgia’s electoral votes to Trump."

"Even though Trump wants his supporters to vote for Loeffler and Perdue, he said Tuesday that Gov. Brian Kemp (R) should “call off” the runoff elections, baselessly implying the two senators would win reelection outright if enough fraudulent ballots are uncovered."  https://www.forbes.com/sites/joewalsh/2020/12/02/trumps-allies-cant-decide-whether-to-boycott-georgias-runoff-elections/?sh=524d2799604b

In summary, Republicans in Georgia should boycott the election, vote in the election, and call the election off.

How's that for clear messaging?

They could learn a thing or two from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Regardless of what ANYONE thinks about her policies, she represents her constituents. She was recently re-elected and spends NO time trying to raise money on campaigning because she speaks truth and her people believe in her. She has a brass pair larger than ANY Republican Senator, gutless cowards every one of them. Mitt Romney has two raisins trying to descend, but he keeps them in check, rarely putting them on display and only when he thinks it will make him look good.

Trump asked Georgia governor to persuade state legislature to overturn Biden victory in state: report

President Trump asked Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) to persuade the state’s legislature to overturn the results of the election in the state hours ahead of a campaign rally for Georgia Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R) and David Perdue (R), according to The Washington Post.

The president called Kemp on Saturday morning and reportedly pressured the governor to call a special session of the legislature to overturn the results and appoint electors who would back him, a person familiar with conversation told the Post.

Trump also asked Kemp to demand an audit of absentee ballot signatures, the Post reported, which Kemp has no power to do.
