Trump questions whether Supreme Court would hear election challenge as options dwindle

Featured Replies

I am a bit surprised at Donald's current stance where he seems rather more casual and almost accepting of his loss.  I keep wondering if this spoilt brat has something up his sleeve.  I cant see him walking away without causing some major drama.  I hope the recent talk of attacking Iran, as well as the terrorist attack on the Iranian scientist, is not leading up to something really nasty where everything is ejected from the pram....dummy included!

  • trump's 'big lie' continues claiming the Dems stole the election, whereas it is he who is attempting to steal the election.

  • Time to hang up the gloves Donald. You're a one term loser and the more you open your mouth, the stupider you make yourself look! You're a disgrace!

  • What’s incredible is that there are people out there who actually believe Trump’s lies.

Hopefully it is not due to the socio-pathic  intent to  destroy as  much and as many as possible in retaliations!

He has already conceded in a way that he is aware of the fact he  will lose the  position of POTUS  but has also said he  does not, will not  concede he lost "honestly". His ultimate  moment of  fame  is rapidly deteriorating into infamy but even that he assumes is a measure of  success.

You don't understand. Xi was hacked off by your refusal to acknowledge HIS greatness in bringing the pandemic under control. So his hackers got into the voting computers, and distributed 10 million extra votes in Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Georgia in Biden's favor. Biden's a pussy, not a real man like you. Just what Xi wants. He'll even have the Chinese votes on Hunter's laptop.

Well, it's as good a conspiracy theory as any. Want me to talk to Rudy?

Can you do the swivelling eyes? Does your hair dye melt under TV lighting and run down your face? Do you have a blonde (past her sell by date) legal bimbo to stand behind you and grin inanely like an advert for cut price reconstructive surgery as you speak? Have you assembled a team which make the two old guys from The Muppet Show seem like reasonable and reassuring pair of harmless old chaps? Honestly, it simply can't be as easy as you think to put together a macabre, burlesque clown show as bad as this one. Stick to commentating, please!

The message on my post was: "The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion" and relates to what I have said about trump above.

all those cases that have been laughed out of court?  he might get lucky in one state getting another couple hundred or even a thousand votes, but nothing that will overturn a state count.

in any event he's moved on to ever grander conspiracy theories, that the fbi and doj are in cahoots to steal the election.

with the ship of state floundering under waves of covid, with over a quarter million dead, we're more likely to see him order a sweeping investigation into who ate that quart of strawberries missing from the kitchen...

He hasn’t got the talent of Bogart who was brilliant in that movie. Showing our age now, aren’t we?

Do you have any evidence that these record votes were fraudulent?

In Trump's mind and those of his fanbase yes, they were fraudulent because they were not for him!

In reality ( unvisited by Trump) to here is no evidence that they are fraudulent.

I'm actually inclined to agree with you, and I was trying my hardest to make stuff up. Can't do the hair dye bit, don't have any to dye.

I can do a cheesy grin with the best of them, but I'm the wrong gender.

Guess I'll have to go back to being serious.

I'm listening to the first interview 45 has done since the election on Fox. The bold faced lies are truly the ravings of a mad man. And the bologna coming from Maria Bartiromo ("... the facts are on your side") is just laughable. I can't believe she can spew that nonsense with a straight face.

I'm surprised DT is on good terms with Maria, seeing how she upstaged him at that dinner during the 2016 campaign.

I never considered Trump to be sane. Now, he is increasingly more and more unhinged. He is taking this loss hard. One would think after losing 17 businesses and 19 merchandising deals, he would be used to losing by now. Guess not. See ya, Don. Bye bye. Let's restore decency and statesmanship!

An analysis by USA Today published in June 2016 found that over the previous three decades, Donald Trump and his businesses have been involved in 3,500 legal cases in U.S. federal courts and state court, an unprecedented number for a U.S. presidential candidate.

This confirms our thoughts.....as some Republicans have opened up about the internal chaos in the three weeks between US President Donald Trump's election loss to Joe Biden and his not-quite concession, with one mocking his legal team's "insane" conspiracy theories.

The Washington Post, citing interviews with 32 anonymous "senior administration officials, campaign aides and other advisers to the President, as well as other key figures in his legal fight", characterised the period as "20 days of fantasy and failure".

"Sequestered in the White House and brooding out of public view after his election defeat, rageful and at times delirious in a torrent of private conversations, Trump was, in the telling of one close adviser, like 'Mad King George, muttering, 'I won. I won. I won'," the newspaper writes.

Not only an unprecedented number for any president, but an absurdly high number for any person or company. Many of these lawsuits were simply due to Trump fraud. And unwillingness to pay for contracts he agreed to. A significant portion of his fortune was acquired by grifting, and stealing other peoples money. Yet even with the propensity and willingness to behave in that manner, he still manages to lose businesses and money.

Contrary to the self created myth, Trump can barely negotiate his way out of a paper bag. Just think of how many have gotten over on him, and taken advantage of his lack of skill and prowess, in the past few years. Putin, Xi, Kim, MBS, and countless others. Now, the leaked tax returns paint the rest of the sorry picture. 17 major business failures! Possibly a record. And financial losses for decades. Unless he is lying to the IRS too. Very possible.

His losses are more likely to be indicative of his extreme lack of business acumen, than tax fraud, though fraud is certainly a possibility, knowing the nature of the man. 17 of his businesses have failed in the past few  decades. Some at huge losses. Trump Steaks, Trump Shuttle Airline ($120 million in losses between 1988 and 1990), GoTrump, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump Magazine, Trumped!. Many businesses that licensed his name went bankrupt, or went out of business. And he had between four and six major bankruptcies (depending on the source), including the Trump Taj Mahal (which he spent $1.2 billion building, and was $3 billion in debt within a year of opening), Trump's Castle, Trump Place Hotel (which was very successful prior to Trump buying it in 1988, and he managed to put it into $550 million in debt by 1992!), Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts ($1.8 billion in debt by 2004, bankrupt in 2009) , and Trump Entertainment Resorts. There are likely others. And this does not take into account the 3,600 lawsuits he was involved in as of the time he took office, the vast majority of which were filed by small contractors against his companies for non payment, or total default. Many of these contractors were crushed. It is part of his M.O.

Nearly anything with his name on it, and his association with it, fails. And that will be even more so, after he loses the November 3rd election. His name will remain radioactive, the the rest of his life, and the mini empire will continue to dwindle. During the period from 1985 to 1989, three years of which were boom year in NY real estate, he somehow managed to lose $359 million. Between 1990 and 1991 he lost $517 million. And between 1992 and 1995 he again managed to lose $286 million.

The real irony of his whole persona, is that he cannot negotiate his way out of a paper bag, much less negotiate a treaty with an adversary, which makes him very dangerous.

There is a very good chance his tax returns will reveal massive bank fraud. And he could be facing prison time, once he is ingloriously ushered out of the White House in January (possible by US Marshalls, should he resist).

They did a financial analysis that showed Trump would have more wealth today if he had just invested his inheritance in stock index funds.  A lot more wealthy.  If it wasn't for his TV show, he'd be in trouble.

And that was based on his own statements of 3 billion or so. Reality is much worse for him.

An incredible phenomena, if you think about.  During The Apprentice years, rednecks would give the TV set the finger when he said "you're fired."  Then he came down the escalator and said the problem with the country is foreigners and his polls haven't been below 40% since.  Two of his three wives are/were foreigners.

A political ploy that turned into a personality cult (quite evident in this forum).  He may be leaning toward religious cult, what with predicting miracles etc.

God wants you to send your money to the rich guy, Harlan, for the good of your country.

One wealthy donor finally saw thru the scam and suing to get back his 2.5 million. I feel sorry for the other millions of small donors conned. Well perhaps they deserved to be con for believing in the biggest grifter masquerading as president.

Trump is still fraudulently raising money and his idiot supporters are still giving.  $150 mil and rising.  I guess they sort of deserve each other...

[“Small donors who give to Trump thinking they are financing an ‘official election defense fund’ are in fact helping pay down the Trump campaign’s debt or funding his post-presidential political operation,”]

[“Trump is making hay while the sun is shining. He’s taking advantage of all the free media coverage to pay off his campaign debt and fill his coffers for whatever comes next,” said Dan Eberhart, a Republican donor. He added: “I would rather give to Romney 2012 than Trump 2020 at this point.”]

Anyone with half a brain and that excludes most supporters know the ability to claim and prove his accusations needs both a point as well as proof to have a case, period.
