Elliot Page's Wife 'So Proud' After He Comes Out As Transgender

Elliot Page's wife Emma Portner has said she is 'so proud' after her husband came out as transgender.

 

Page - who is known for starring in the likes of Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, Christopher Nolan's Inception and 2007 film Juno - shared the news on social media yesterday (Tuesday).

 

In a post on Instagram, wife Portner, a dancer and choreographer, said: "I am so proud of @elliotpage. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world.

 

"I also ask for patience & privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day.

Its all a load of old b@ll@cks, so I wouldnt worry about it ... There are only people at the end of the day, some you will like and some you won't and there's not much more to it than that, as far as i'm concerned.

According to an article I read the other day, there is a phenomenon among the trans female to male community called "bottom growth"..

 

Quite a cutsey (and feminine) phrase for the fact that they now sport a clitoris 1 to 3 inches long...

 

It's messing with my recollection of Juno.

OK, so when they had their lesbian marriage Emma Portner married Ellen, now known as Elliot. So is Emma now not gay ? Will she want a divorce now ? Or has she decided that she does like guys after all ?

Basically woke up one morning, said "I am now a man", everyone goes whoop de doo, not a single cell has been lost or changed, but she is now a he. It's the modern way

The fact this dribble made it to the 'main stream' news outlets proves everything wrong with the state of our society and what is prioritized to feed the masses.

 

 

 

Well, Emma was great in Juno.

Of course the reason this is news is because of celebrity.

That's completely normal.

That depends. Perhaps she fell in love with the person and isn't a rigid category as you seem to think that everyone is in.

Dunno, but if they ever have to have a different loo for each new sexual gender coming out  ...

So proud! yeah I bet, I cant wait for my son to come out as gay or say he wants to be a woman, it's right up there with him getting a masters degree. I suppose you have to smile in the face of adversity.

Yeah I can understand the confusion. When I was a kid it was only gay, straight, or bi and people thought the bis were actually closeted gays. Things change.

a digital gay person

I suspect this also provides publicity for her career metamorphosis into a male actor.  I wish her well, but she looks like a little kid, which is why she can still play college-aged characters at her age.  I can't see her competing for male roles with male actors her age.  Maybe the next Mickey Rooney?  Or Ralph Macchio?

I'm sure the indie filmmakers will hire her.

Transgender simply refers to the fact that the gender a person was born with is not the gender they feel comfortable being. It has nothing to do with the gender or type of person they might want or not want to sleep with.
