but once you do finally die, that process of 'dying' never actually existed, did it?

Well, it did. but I doubt that I would be caring so much by that point.

it did in the same way as bad dreams exist.

when you wake up in the morning they are gone.

that's the way I look at a potentially painful death.

It's just a bad dream and once brain death occurs and my breathing stops I shall be awakened from that dream, or in other words, be freed from it.

(kind of like life, life could also be a bad dream.. or is this getting too deep now? ) ????

isn't that a painful way to go out?

I read that overdosing on pills isn't the best way to go..

Not that there is any pleasant way to go, but as we live close to the golden triangle..

Well....you know what I mean ????

Not sure and I will be unable to let you know afterwards, but I can't see 100 pills not working.  If you under dose it would be an issue and I think something like paracetamol can be bad news, so I guess its what you use rather than all pills are bad for the process.

And remember, its the people that you leave behind who really suffer.

Assuming they loved you.

According to my friend his grandfather had 3 girlfriends when he died.

He left a will that they should all inherit something. What he didn't do it write what they should inherit. His idea was they should sort that part out themselves. ????

Death is no problem, we will all die.

I hope I die peacefully in my sleep or maybe in a high-speed crash were it doesn't hurt too much for too long.

Until then: Carpe diem

great film.

I am not trying to steal this topic but i was already thinking about opening one about

euthanasia and if you would or already have considered it.

A very good friend of mine passed away this week,86 years old but he still believed he would

recover after many health problems. His mind was clear but his body gave up.

I hopw when the times comes and i know it is over i won't be terrified, easy to say you have no fear of death but how about fear of dying?

Slight difference there.

Nowadays there are many ways to help you pass if the suffering gets too much.

I think i would take that option before i can am no longer able to control things.

The idea of lying in bed and waiting to die in pain scares me more then death itself.

absolutely 100%

Euthanasia should be an option for any patient who is in intolerable pain, that is still sound of mind or has written in a statement when he/she was still physically able that they wish to be executed when they feel the time has come.

maybe the word executed is a bit much, you are talking with help.

I was more thinking along the line of helping myself so to take the burden away from some one else. Also now it is not easy to travel to a country where it is allowed in a clinic but it should be available every where.

This thread got me thinking....what about the converse...the fear of someone not dying?....imagine Trump not dying and returning in 2024.....now that is scary.
