   The vaccine will not come soon enough for a lot more of them.  I do hope the vaccines

Mistakes have almost certainly been made in all the above administrations.

However I have not witnessed blatant disregard for health protocols and encouraging fellow countrymen to ignore scientific advice.

If you can provide evidence of such behaviour within those countries then I will certainly brand them idiots as well.

Also please note that the R factor is being heavily reduced in Europe ( I dont know about Argentina and Mexico ) whilst in the US the situation is worsening by the day.

That suggests that some nations have learned a lesson that seems to have been overlooked by the US administration.

Is there any point in your question. The leaders of those countries that you mentioned have failed their people but the big difference is that they have realized they have been wrong and have decided to take affirmative steps in control the virus from getting worse. Their leaders have came out strong to demonstrate that they are serious. Can you say the same in US. Also you really need to make comparison with the best of the countries that have managed their pandemic responses well and kept their infections and death rates low like in Asia and Asia Pac. Numbers so low that John Hopkins have excluded.

Trump has 70 million voting for him and is president. People follow his lead. All he had to to was lead by example. But his example was to denigrate mask wearing.

 

The states should have followed science instead of politics. As the norm, republicans scorned wearing masks, and still do.

 

Trump has enormous control, republicans are afraid of him. If he wore a mask and made everyone at his rallies wear a mask and kept making a point that its unnacceptable to not do it then no blame can be put on him.

 

But he did the opposite.

As I already explained , what sets the USA apart ( perhaps with the major exception of Brazil ) is that the administration was openly at odds with Scientific advice.

Been a tough few weeks for poor rudy.

 

First, he got punked by 'Borat' and had to invent excuses for why he looked to be fondling himself after willingly going into a hotel room with a female who told him she was 15 years old (but who was actually older).

 

Next he had his Bad Hair (Dye) day.

 

He's part of a team that is now 1 and 49 in cases filed in courts in an attempt to overturn 'the most secure election in US history' (according to the man 45 appointed to head the election security effort, Chris Krebs)

 

He seemed to have a bout of uncontrollable flatulence when appearing with a supposed whistleblower who became so bizarre even a guy claiming a former Venezuelan leader who has been dead seven years helped rig the 2020 election had to cut her off.

 

Now he's come down with Covid, and because he spent half a day in a closed room with repub lawmakers in a State where he hopes to overturn the certified election results, causing those repub lawmakers to be put into quarantine.

According to those in the DT orbit:yes.  Actually they'll say anything to their favor in the moment.  Don't be surprised if one of them says the virus was unearthed from a tomb in the Egyptian pyramids.  Or a Korean ship that landed in Maine.

Their followers are confused, as the statements tend to contradict each other. 

Also, sometimes they will say something on Fox and later when they take it back Fox doesn't cover it, so the followers don't know that what they had been told to has been retracted.
