So the British are not going to eat? The Russians have a lot more opportunity to grow their own food and substitute for French products whereas the British do not. Sure, the French may sell less but the market will not disappear overnight.

There is over 300,000 allotments in the Uk

Around 87 per cent of UK households have a garden and estimates suggest that private gardens cover an area about the size of one-fifth of Wales. so plenty of  opportunity to grow their own food

It seems slowly Boris realizes that when he promised unicorns he should have checked first if unicorns are available. And obviously half the Brits believed him. Amazing.

Oh good stuff KD. Especially after what you Brexiteers have been posting ever since the referendum.

Its not a case of bullying. Its a case of picking a fight with someone far bigger and stronger than you are.

Still you knew what you were voting for right?

Seems your view is cowardice then, run and hide, seems you have a very short memory on British history, but expected from an ant-British Brit bloke.....

Go and swat up on the UK fighting the odds and winning using its head.....????

As Chummly Warner  would ask.....You were there? .....You have a direct line to Johnson?....You have intimate knowledge of these affairs?   Can you provide evidence?.....Can you provide credible sources and links...

That would be the first time in life that he provide a source for his claims, lets stand a credible one.

By the way wasn't there an announcement already yesterday that a principle deal was reached, or was that a principle no deal?

I suggest you contact your sources, which you can't reveal, and ask them to inform Boris that something must be going on behind his back.

A joint statement from the UK and EU was released following meetings between Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove, and the vice president of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič, which had been aimed at finalising the Withdrawal Agreement.

The statement said: "In view of these mutually agreed solutions, the UK will withdraw clauses 44, 45 and 47 of the UK Internal Market Bill (UKIM), and not introduce any similar provisions in the Taxation Bill."

Mr Gove thanked Mr Šefčovič for participating in talks and said he would update Parliament on the agreement on Wednesday.

I'm so bored of this continual milking.

Brexiteers won and will never admit it was a mistake. They will never admit that we were better off before, even though they're meager pensions (they are paid a pension more than 2 times less than their european counterparts) are steadily becoming more and more worthless the closer we are to no deal. No deal is what BoJo wanted all along.

Remainers lost, we will never stop moaning that the referendum was won with lies and racial overtones. As we are mostly younger, (around 80% of pension age folks voted leave) we will have to pay for these mistakes for the rest of our lives. Well, not me! I moved to Thailand - and will never go back to the isolationist, racist, nationalistic, small lonely island nation that I once called home.

So to summarize, no deal is what is going to happen. Young people - get out of the UK now while you can. See how long the UK government can pay those pensioners without tax paying folks.

So THAT was what you all voted for!  I had no idea all you wanted was to be able to grow your oewn food.  Not entirely sure how being innthe EU stopped you doing that before, but still.

For the young French, German, Italian .... person that is an option. Sadly, post 31/12/20 that option will be unavailable - or much more difficult - for a young Brit.

Is this meant to be the UK version of the CAP post transition? 'Buy/ rent an allotment and grow your own'. Call me pernickety, but I had hoped for something more substantial.

Clauses 44, 45, and  47 are being withdrawn because the threat from the EU was withdrawn so they are no longer needed,  doesn't solve the 3 main points which will not be agreed on.

The only possible change in outcome will be Germany stepping up maybe today.

Hardly.

The EU has been forced to remove their ridiculous threat of labeling all goods between NI and UK 'at risk'. Hence, the controversial clauses in the IMB to counter this threat are no longer needed, they have served their purpose. Boris played a blinder. :clap2:

Hopefully the EU has learnt their lesson and stops with the silly, underhand tricks. Otherwise, Boris will be forced to give them another slap down.

Well played Boris my son, well played.
