Just picked up a new passport from my embassy in Bangkok and wanted to walk over to Immigration on Soi Suan Plu, but a shock: Immigration closed today!

As I want to fly to Europe tonight, how can I get a tranfer of my entry stamp? Is it possible to have this done at the airport?

They should be able to do at airport as you don't have much choice in the matter.

Thanks, I will try my luck. Unfortunately it is an award flight that can not be rebooked.

At the airport waiting for my flight, now. I went thru immigration without having to transfer a stamp. They said they could not do it there, but in Suan Plu, only - but that it was not really necessary. The customs officer stamped the new passport for departure and included 3 lines of text ... When I enter Thailand again I need to show old and new passport and my old visa will be honored :-) Pretty simple.
