Two motorcyclists were killed and another two people injured after a 32 year old Thai woman driving a Yaris fell asleep at the wheel outside the entrance to Benjakitti Park on Ratchadapisek Road heading towards Asoke yesterday evening.

Thong Lo police, RuamKatanyu rescue and Chulalongkorn medical services found the Yaris smashed into the back of a parked Pajero.

Sakhon, 42, the rider of a Honda Mio and Theerapong, 29, a Grab Food delivery man on a PCX were both dead at the scene.

Two other injured people were taken to Camillian and BNH hospitals. The dead were taken to Chula.

Dash cam footage from the Yaris showed that the driver had plowed into Sakhon without braking then hit Theerapong and another bike.

Parichat, 32, said she was tired and fell asleep at the wheel.

Police are gathering evidence and no charges have yet been made, reported Daily News.

It's  known, Thai's can fall asleep anywhere, but they should

not be doing it while behind the wheel of a moving vehicle,

RIP  those killed

I bet she was on her phone. Rarely those involved in accidents ever want to admit it.

I'd guess the evidence they are gathering could be to discover the financial wealth of the driver, in order to determine whether she should be charged.

Ferr-ar-i know it could be the same as another case still in the news.

If she wasn't distracted by her phone whilst driving then the chances are that she had been up part or most of the night playing with the blasted thing.  We have Young Women living nearby who complain of being tired all day but when asked why they laugh and say they were on their phone's most of the night.  Personally i just can't imagine what could be so riveting on anyone's phone to make them want to do that...madness !

Wow one hell of a stereotype without a shred of evidence. Well done.

If you are concentrating as you should be while driving your potential killing machine you do not fall asleep.
