Popular Post TopDeadSenter Posted December 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 16, 2020 Great news. America's sworn enemies are happy that President Trump may be having a 4 year break. I mean who doesn't want China, Russia and Iran to be happy. So long as the media personalities are happy too, that's important. Does Joe have any more of those pallets? The Iranians liked that didn't they. Trump never sent any pallets did he? I wonder that is why they didn't like him? Enjoy the next 4 years Iran, China and other rogue authoritarian regimes. This is your time to grow your influence and power. 3 1 5 2

Trump had to be dragged into standing up to Putin. And as for China...guess what country just achieved a record trade surplus with the USA? China trade surplus hits record $75B as Nov exports soar China’s politically sensitive trade surplus with the U.S. soared to a record $75.4 billion November as exports surged 21.1% over a year earlier, propelled by strong demand from American consumers. Exports to the United States rose 46% despite lingering tariff hikes in a trade war with Washington, customs data showed Monday. Total exports rose to $268 billion, up from October’s 11.4% growth. Imports gained 5% to $192.6 billion, up from the previous month’s 4.7%, reflecting the growing strength of China's economic rebound from the coronavirus pandemic. https://journalstar.com/news/world/china-trade-surplus-hits-record-75b-as-nov-exports-soar/article_26cf7da3-d6aa-5d0a-81ad-e8a163610cdc.html And as for Iran. Maybe you think it's a good idea to leave the Saudis unchecked in that region. The Trump administration is pushing to give the Saudis the ability to make nuclear fuel. You think it's wise to give MBS the capacity to make nuclear weapons? 7 1

Never stopping trump echo chamber disinformation is surely against forum rules. The cash returned to Iran belonged to Iran and did not violate any laws passed by Congress. trump sanctions against Iran are extremely detrimental to the people of Iran, but have not stopped or slowed Iranian uranium enrichment or other weapons R&D, in fact US unilateral withdrawal encouraged increased Iranian production of enriched uranium - as per usual trump sanctions have not benefitted the Western world. 5 2

The only reason 45 went after Iran is because the Obama Administration had set the stage for neutering Iran with the JCPOA (Iran Deal). The goal of that was two fold, with the first being most critical: 1) Take Iran completely out of the nuke game 2) form a framework where the US and Iran could negotiate on a host of other issues such as support for Shi'a terrorists, etc. Because of the JCPOA, Iran's nuclear reactors were filled with cement, its high speed centrifuges smashed (used for U235 enrichment), and IAEA Inspectors were allowed unfettered access at any time to any facility thought to be, or have been involved in weapons research or U235 enrichment. The 'deal' was a 104 page document put together by people who actually knew what Iran was doing and also knew how to develop a nuclear program. The CIA was tasked with monitoring Iran and stating every six months whether Iran remained in compliance with the JCPOA. Iran was always 100% in compliance. Iran was out of the nuke game. One of the reasons Iran has been open to JCPOA was because of a previous action Obama had taken against Iran's nuke program using the Stuxnet computer virus. Iran came to realize what the US cyber capabilities were, and they knew the US could disrupt their nuke program via cyber hacking, perhaps not completely obviating the program, but making things more difficult. Obama had brought pressure to bear without violence, and also without alienating any potentially friendly voices in Iran. US intel had analyzed Iran and came to believe that Iran's young people were tired of the repressive govt and desirous of joining the rest of the world and enjoying the comforts development could bring. It was expected that as Iran's clerical leadership aged and died off, the door would open wider to bringing Iran into the international fold. Instead of trying to exploit the changing demographics and attitudes emerging in Iran, 45 was intent on destroying an Obama success. 45 and pompeo went out of their way to raise tensions with Iran. They succeeded in largely re-unifying Iran against the US, both the previously more liberal youth as well as the most hardline elements of the clerical leadership. Ironically---or perhaps not---45 embraced MbS and saudi arabia, a land where male youth were becoming more radical and where democracy had little chance of ever taking hold. According to the CIA, jared and 45's 'friend' MbS even ordered the slaughter of US resident and father to two US Persons Jamal Khashoggi, because Khashoggi had long been a critic of both the monarchy in general and later MbS in particular. MbS paid no price for his order, and the US even aided him in the horrific slaughter in Yemen by providing military support to saudi forces in that Yemen war, many of which were used in the slaughter of civilians. While Iran was criticized for its support of Shi'a terrorism, nothing was said to saudi arabia about its financial support for Sunni terrorism, both al Qaeda and ISIS. Hezbollah is a regional Shi'a terror group and does not represent a threat to the US homeland. al Qaeda, on the other hand, obviously is a threat to the US homeland. Still, 45 never pressured MbS to rein in the support for Sunni terror that comes from saudi arabia. 4 1

Since the US abrogated, they had no further need to to remain in compliance. Small medical reactors are not an effective means for producing sufficient amount of fissionable material to construct a bomb. Iran is clever enough to send trial balloons. The fact is, Iran will reenter the nuke game and become a regional threat because 45 ditched the deal. His 'success' in North Korea is similar, because he got hosed nine ways from Sunday by Kim Jong-un, who intensified his nuke and missile program after sending 'beautiful love letters' to the so easily duped Narcissist 45. 4

At the risk of using the 45 term 'fake news', one has to look at the ultimate sourcing of any intel on Iran, as most often it comes from an 'ally' who has a vested interest in not being exactly fulsome. A while back that same source 'produced' piles of documents on Iran's nuclear program trying to prove Iran was still in the game. Unbeknownst to them, those documents had long ago been obtained by US intel and were known to be from 2001, not in any way recent. US intel knows to take certain things from an 'ally' with a big grain of salt. 1
