I have a little used handphone with a DTAC pre-paid sim and would often use

unused credit for extended validity just to keep the number alive.

The last two weeks this service seems to have stopped working.

When I dial :

*111*1*x# (where x = no of days to extend)

I get :

"Operation ended by network".

I buy a topup and this works fine.

Have they changed the code ?

Have they stopped the option ?

Hmmm.... :o

Might check this new topic and see if it will do the job for you > http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...p;#entry1289678

Specifically this > *113*x#

Thank you Sir for your lightning reply.

I will admit that I wandered in the wilderness a little bit.

I read the thread you referred to and tried to follow it although I

got confused with people talking about GPRS access and Happy

packages.

I visited www.happy.co.th and it reminded me of watching the

"Magic Roundabout" except it was more cryptic as many of the

links lapsed into squiggly (= Irish for Thai script).

I tried many of the suggestions in that thread to no avail.

I either got a "call impossible" or my original "operation ended"

message.

I found myself left with two possibilities :

1) I am an idiot

2) Bangna is in a twilight zone.

The more I thought about it the more I became convinced that

both these probabilities were actually probabilities.

Then I came back to your original response and tried that with x=7.

Similar result.

Then I ried it with x=30.

BINGO

Back comes an SMS with a balance and a validity of 10th June.

But I wasn't sure how much this had cost.

So I did it again (<deleted> , try it).

SMS comes back - validity 10th July and balance down by 2b.

Now before I was getting hit for 30b for 7 days.

So Sir , should we ever cross paths , I owe you a beer or six.

I believe we both owe laurent a beer in that he brought it to the forum and my attention. Cheers :o
