webfact Posted December 29, 2020 Share Posted December 29, 2020 Man arrested for stealing from fatal car crash victims in Korat Picture: Timeline Korat A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing from the victims of a fatal road traffic accident in Nakhon Ratchasima. Police said the man was pretending to be a good samaritan, mingling with rescue crews when in fact he had stolen some personal belongings, including a gold necklace, from the deceased and injured. Police arrested the man at the scene and he remains in custody pending further legal proceedings. The two vehicle accident took place before noon on Monday on the Bangkok bound side of Mitrapap highway. The driver and passenger of a blue Isuzu pick up truck were pronounced dead the scene while a passenger was thrown from the vehicle and suffered life threatening injuries Three people in a Nissan pick up were also seriously injured and rushed to Sung Noen Hospital for treatment.
