A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing from the victims of a fatal road traffic accident in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Police said the man was pretending to be a good samaritan, mingling with rescue crews when in fact he had stolen some personal belongings, including a gold necklace, from the deceased and injured.

Police arrested the man at the scene and he remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.

The two vehicle accident took place before noon on Monday on the Bangkok bound side of Mitrapap highway.

The driver and passenger of a blue Isuzu pick up truck were pronounced dead the scene while a passenger was thrown from the vehicle and suffered life threatening injuries

Three people in a Nissan pick up were also seriously injured and rushed to Sung Noen Hospital for treatment.

I don't think there are enough words to describe my disgust. ????????????

What is the man who stole him from the dead a Buddhist

Low life.

Leave him alone for  an hour with the victim's family.

less work than robbing a grave but just as distasteful..

No different than the 20,000 Thai villagers that rushed to loot the valuables of all the dead from the crashed Lauda airliner in 1991. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1991-05-30-mn-3771-story.html

Now that would deserve some Thai bashing one would think but then again there are the persons who would see no wrong seeing the looters were Thai !

Vulture... Nuff said.

The rescue people must have been upset someone was taking the stuff before them and reported him.

isn't that a job of the "ambulance" people

We can hope that if Buddhism is real, that the dead man comes back as a soi dog and bites him in the knackers !

"If you do an internet search "looting airline crash" you will find this occurs everywhere, not specific to Thai people:  Ukraine, Peru, Iran...the list is long.

Add to that the Tsunami here in Thailand alone, apparently it was rife

A complete lack of empathy for his fellow man.

In a somewhat strained attempt to find a glimmer of rationale I will try to put at least a part of his actions on the desperate times some people are living in at the moment. I have to admit, however, that I am not having much success in exculpating him.
