With music it usually works in the reverse for me. Oftentimes when I hear a song I get not only visual memory flashes but the feeling of that time is recreated, too. I get memory flashes of where I bought particular albums and singles. Some I had to scrimp and save the money to buy them or hunt some down at record fairs. I don't have too many recollections when it comes to CDs. Buffy Sainte-Marie's albums were a pain to collect. In the shops and fairs I had to look through the bins marked 'B' 'S' and 'M'. Then, I had to search under 'Female' 'Folk' 'Country' 'C&W' 'Rock' 'Contemporary'. Not many sales staff had heard of her or how to categorise her albums so I ended up nearly going through the whole Fair's or shop's stock. Folk.
