Can an STV be converted to a Non-B in Thailand?

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to move out of the country after transferring my managing director position to a person who's currently holding a STV.

My company is eligible for only 1 WP so I believe I need to cancel my WP first then issue a WP for the person who's taking over.

I've contacted an agent a week ago but they were not quite sure about this.

I'm curious whether

1. Is it even possible to convert an STV to Non-B in country now?

2. What are the typical processes of transferring a WP to a new director?

Thank you.

First, need to cancel old director WP, after you can apply for a new one.

True, Many embassy websites state than can not be converted but i would still check this with different agents/immigration.

Embassies know their own business but sometimes advice about immigration matters are not so good.. Sometimes also you can do something in one place but not in another immigration office..

They are sometimes not knowledgeable wrt immigration procedures within Thailand, they are from the Ministry (M of FA), Immigration are a division of the police.
