Satisfying the 800K requirement in the bank 3 MONTHS AFTER the visa

Yes you can apply for a 90 day non-o visa entry at immigration. No need for a medical certificate or insurance.

You will need to show 800k baht in Thai bank on the day you apply. Proof the funds came from abroad is also required. Or if you can prove 65 baht of income.

What if the 750k was already in a Thai bank years ago but because it went below 800k for just a few days, immigration rejected the extension?

There's no way to prove that 750k came abroad because it's already there.

We can always top up the remaining 50k to make it 800k but it was too late and we have to leave the country first.

Will immigration accept the money?

Since you have left Thailand you could obtain a non O outside of Thailand (depends which country).

In that case there is no need to show money came from o/s.

When applying for the annual extension when back in Thailand all you need to show is that the 800k has been in bank for 2 months on day of application

Yes they are strict on the money not going below 800k two months prior and 3 after also not below 400k after that. It's a clear rule and enforced.

If the 800k baht (or most of it even) has been in the bank for considerable amount of time most immigration offices would accept your application without proof it came from abroad.
