Cool to cold weather with strong wind are likely over upper Thailand. Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South is strengthening, resulting in more rain in the South and waves rising to above 2 meters during thundershowers. During January 30–31, the westerly trough will move through the Myanmar to cover the upper North of Thailand. Isolated thundershower with gusty wind is likely in the area followed by temperature drop by 2-3°C. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows: North: Cool weather with isolated thundershower with gusty wind; temperature lows of 16-21 degrees and highs of 29-35 degrees Celsius. Temperature on hilltops is likely to drop to 3-13 degrees Celsius. Northeast: Cool to cold weather with strong wind; temperature lows of 14-18 degrees and highs of 28-32 degrees Celsius. Temperature on hilltops is likely to drop to 8-12 degrees Celsius. Central: Cool weather in the morning with strong wind; temperature lows of 19-23 degrees, highs of 32-34 degrees Celsius. East: Cool weather in the morning with strong wind; temperature lows of 19-22 degrees, highs of 30-33 degrees Celsius; waves a meter high and 1-2 meters offshore. South (east coast): Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 21-24 degrees, highs of 29-33 degrees Celsius; waves 2 meters high and over 2 meters during thundershowers. South (west coast): Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 21-24 degrees, highs of 32-34 degrees Celsius; waves a meter high and 1-2 meters offshore. Bangkok and surrounding areas: Cool weather in the morning with strong wind; temperature lows of 21-23 degrees, highs of 31-34 degrees Celsius.
