When they redo the sidewalks, they are quickly demolished or occupied by motorcycles or others. In addition, living in a peaceful place, with very few farengs around, is not ideal. Even when you are in great shape, living only with locals is not recommended. I do disagree with you though, i am quite happy living here in the sticks, just me, her indoors and my dogs. I certainly agree Thailand is not adapted for disabled people, in fact i think it is a damn disgrace. A year or so ago we went to the bank in Khonkaen, to get in you have to climb a flight of stairs, so i cannot get in. Wife goes in, they insist she cannot enter my pin, only i can do, 4 of the staff come down to the pickup, you have to come in yourself and do it, what !! So i told them ok you get a couple of strong men lift me into the bank, i said to 1 woman, here you hold this ( my urine bag ).... And they never ask me for money...my only rules is I will play along, and love the "lady" parts...just never want to see the "boy" parts Out of sight out of mind!
