Can I do my extension in another province?

Recommended Posts

So, my last extension of stay was done in Isaan.

Now I live in Bangkok.

I still have a home in Isaan and we go back several months a year.

Can I do my next 1 year extension of stay at the Isaan immigration?

I suppose I just have to update my TM thingy to say that I am living back there.

it depends where you got your first permit, visa, or whatever people are calling it these days.

I do the Retirement extension each year.

I got my first Retirement stamp in Hua Hin.

For that reason, I have to renew in HH every year.

If i want to change, I have to cancel by leaving the country and starting over again.

I came here on Tourist, and changed to Retirement.

I do the extension, which is a stamp in the passort each year, not a sticky visa sticker

I don't think so : I had my first retirement extension ( then 5 years ) in Hua hin, and I changed province ; I just had to tell my new immigration I have changed my address , I filled a TM 8, I got  a new tabian ban, and it's ok

no need to leave the country

That is incorrect info somebody has given you or a misunderstanding

All you need to do is change your address to a different province and apply at the immigration office for there.

The requirement to apply at the office where you applied is for the first extension after getting a 90 day non-o visa entry at immigration.

totally incorrect
all you need do to file in another province is to file a new TM 30 where ever you want to be
