(Photo by Lillian SUWANRUMPHA / AFP) Pathum Thani, just north of Bangkok, has ordered two markets in Thanyaburi district to close for 5 days from today after COVID-19 infections were found to be linked to them. In addition to Suchart and Pornpat markets, adjacent buildings in Prachathipat sub-district have also been closed and Pathum Thani’s governor, Chaiwat Chuenkosum, has imposed a 14-day quarantine and restrictions on the movements of migrant workers. ThailandRyan
Only a five day closure?, when will they ring the market area with barbed wire and lock them all inside like the factories and markets in Samut Sakhon. Oh wait Thais treated different than migrants once again. Please ensure they don't wander around. Add this set of new cases to Chulalongkorn Universities, and now central Bangkok is in the cross hairs for the spread, but wait It is all under control, just aske a few members on here and the Government. Foolish people to have gone ahead and created another special holiday for the Chinese New Year and told the folks to go forth and celebrate. I give it 10 days from tomorrow to show another major increase.
