I have 2 friends who arrived on Tourist Visas last month - at the end of their 90 days on the Tourist Visa  (60 + 30) can they apply for a 60 days covid extension visa?

going tomorrow to immi for corona extension  of 45 day entry  what documents do I need ? thanks in advance

They may tell you to get the allowed 30 day extension first and then the 60 day covid 19 extension later.

You will need copies of your passport photo page, entry stamp and TM6 arrival card.

For the 60 day extension you would also need to complete a affidavit stating the reason you are requesting the extension they will give you.

Sorry to add to this topic but iam looking to extend my 60 day TR for 30 days and then get Covid Extension prior to end of march.  Iam currently in bangkok and i am unsure on a few things.

1.  Which immigration office do i go to?  CW or i heard there is a temporary visa extension centre.

2. What documents do i need?  I had read just passport is enough and get photo copies but then i also read that i might need a TM30 form.  Anyone can help me ?

What is the timeframe (min/max days before expiry) to apply for a 30-day extension of a 45-day visa-exempt stay?

There is no minimum number of days since it can done on the last day. You can do it up to 2 weeks early at most offices.

1. You have to apply for the temporary immigration office in Muang Thong Thani.

2. You will need a completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 photo attached. Copies of your passport photo page, visa, arrival stamp and TM6 departure card.

A TM30 report may not be needed if where you are staying did the report when you first arrived at the residence that you will on put the address for on the TM7 form.

Did you specifically ask for this or were you offered it in lieu of the standard 30-day extension?

I am currently on a 45-day visa exempt entry and clearly would prefer to get a 60-day rather than a 30-day extension.

Hi Joe, I'm in quarantine now, have 60 day tourist visa which I will need to extend for a week. I live with my wife, when I go to immigration for the extension will they need to see a TM30 form. Does my wife need to fill one in straight away as I get home. Thanks.

Yes she will need to do a TM30 form to report of your arrival at her home. It should be done within 24 hours of arrival at the residence. But most offices are flexible about the 21 hours.

You would apply for a 30 day extension. The 7 days is only to leave the country if you do not qualify for any extension.
