I always carry in cash the 50'000 THB required as a reserve for my next visit in the 5 months of winter, in case the bank blocks again my account and refuses to give me cash like it happened with BB last year. My passport had expired and they wanted the copy of the new one - fair enough. Except that the account was opened in a BB branch in Hua Hin and I was in BKK and of course the bank manager refused to unblock with the new passport and was only to happy with a sly grin to put another foreigner in hot soup. -
