A kamnan or sub-district chief lost his temper in a pub in Nakhon Phanom in Thailand's north-east on Sunday after staffers requested that he go and park his vehicle properly.

Phaisan Saengnarai, 58, admitted he was furious so he went to his vehicle and got his gun.

He then returned to the pub and started firing indiscriminately hitting four people.

Bouncers made a citizen's arrest before the police arrived.

Daily News quoted Ban Phaeng policeman Lt-Col Pramote Chalee as saying that the suspect admitted being drunk and unable to control his emotions.

He has been charged with attempted murder and weapons violations.

He is the kamnan of Nangua sub-district.

The incident occurred on Sunday night in a pub on route 212, the Ban Phaeng to Nakhon Phanom Road.
