Thanks for the helpful replies. The slightly different procedures, from year to year, aren’t really much of a hassle. I view the process as a bit of a game and don’t mind how many times I go up and down the escalator - as long as I get the extension.

    Thanks for report. To highlight couple of points for others that I have posted many times.  1. The appointment system works very well. Make sure you have hard copy of you confirmation email.

    Yes, I should have printed off the appointment details in advance. i realise that updating the bb alone, on the day of the visa extension, only records the last transaction date, so that a token
