webfact
Amazing Thailand: The extent some students will go to skip class - lifting motorcycle over the wall! Picture: Sanook A group of Thai secondary schoolboys were caught on camera going to extraordinary lengths to skip class. A social media post pictured the boys helping to move a motorcycle over a wall to play truant. The story went viral on social media and became the talk of Thailand yesterday. Sanook went to investigate and found out it was at a boys only school with thousands of pupils in Korat or Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand's north east. Locals said they often saw boys at the school vault the fence or sneak through to escape classes. And there were regular patrols of teachers on motorcycles to try and prevent it. But they had never seen this! The poster of the pictures said that they originally thought it was theft so they got their phone out to record the evidence. But they soon realised it was truancy. The director of the school said it looked like M5 boys, the second to last year of Thai secondary education. Yeargroup teachers were investigating the incident that happened on Wednesday at 2pm. The boys would be punished according to the school rules and patrols to stop truancy would be stepped up, said the director. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-03-12 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

PatOngo
They'll probably get a better education in the "school of life" than they'll get in a Thai govt school! Edited March 12, 2021 by PatOngo
