BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has advised the public that a reshuffle of his Cabinet will be announced next week, after Phalang Pracharat Party leader and Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan submitted two names for consideration.

Executives of the Democrat Party and Bhumjai Thai Party have engaged in discussions to trade off the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Deputy Minister of Transport posts, reportedly considering four names, Sinit Lertkrai of Surat Thani, Naris Kamnurak of Phattalung, Prakob Rattanaphan of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Kantawan Tantian of Phang Nga.

While it was pointed out that Naris would be able to work closely with Democrat Party leader Jurin Laksanawisit, party members expressed a desire for Sinit to lead MPs from Surat Thani as their most senior representative and the person who led them in winning all of the province’s seats. Sinit received further support from Chairman of the Democrat Party Advisory Council Banyat Bantadtan.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha meanwhile, confirmed that all names for ministerial posts have been received from the coalition parties and progress is being made. He gave his word that regardless of the chosen individuals, the government’s policies and plans will be upheld.
