Status of 90 day reporting requirement that was waived during Covid

Recommended Posts

Thanks DR. Jack but you speak of an "Amnesty 2019" which is before Covid became an issue here right?  Im confused.  I thought the 90 day reporting was waived in Oct 2021 on....... due to COVID.  Maybe i am mistaken?

Those who did not submit their notification of staying longer than 90 days between March and July of 2020 were supposed to do so between August 1-31 2020. This was the relevant announcement (see Item 3):

90 day Thai Immigration reporting deadline passes | News by The Thaiger

As advised by @DrJack54, the only penalty will be a 2,000 baht fine.

Yes it was a typo. The Amnesty was during 2020. 90 day reports were not required during that time however immigration then requested anyone that skipped their reports to make a report in person or via mail during August. The OP has not done any reports. He will be fined 2000baht. No big deal. Thanks for pointing out the error with year. Better than folk such as @bkk6060 that emote with laugh. Sigh.
