internationalism
it was only some batches from italian producer, which are suspected. Thailand planned to buy from italy, but export was banned by the EU. thailand will be making it's own astrazeneca. There is also sinovac, for under 60 yo. probably not harm to take medication for a few days before and after jab
phetchy
"how would i get information as i have already had a dvt. there seems to be some questions about blood clots from vaccine" Same here, I'm on Warfarin for life. As the purpose of an anticoagulant is to avoid blood clotting, maybe it would prevent or at least lessen the supposed problems with Astrazeneca?

As you get closer to being able to get a particluar vaccine, maybe schedule a consult with a doctor to discuss the potential issues? 1
Jillie Norman
Indeed. It's critical to talk to your doctors as this seems to be an uncertain issue even for professionals, but they are our best bet.
mommysboy
Nobody really knows at present. But the figures in the UK suggest that the covid vaccines used do not cause blood clots. Hopefully, you are also under medication, eg, warfarin. You may want to talk about switching to aspirin. See a health professional before opting for a vaccine. Either the AZ vaccine does or does not cause excess blood clots. I guess the MRHA, EMA, and WHO don't think so. The hard data from the UK suggests it doesn't.
