Songkran 2021: Thai police will set up 1,200 DUI checkpoints nationwide

Featured Replies

One has to laugh at this story, the last time I was stopped the Officer smelt of alcohol and up[on demanding he take a test, he was sent home driving his car. Go figure , I do not by the way drink and drive but sadly the RTP have the morals  and ethics of a guttersnipe.

So 1200 to check for DUI p***heads, and 1700 to check road tax, insurance, licences, tyres, lights, exhaust etc. Why not have 2900 checkpoints for eveything, or is that too logical?

They could have 12,000 check-points... it's what happens after they're caught that matters. A fine is pointless.

  • 'measures will be implemented to prevent and contain the spread of Covid-19' How will the RTP 'prevent' this from happening? Make suspects do fifty sit-ups?

not to worry.  DRINK driving is a fantasy.  DRUNK driving is an offence.

grammar matters.

It might help if they tried entire the law all the time such as if they see possible law breaking whilst on their bike or in their pickup rather than only if they've put out cones, have at least half a dozen to man it and have a table to take money.

I'm pretty sure there are examples of police in other countries doing this if they looked on YouTube ect.
