Sukhumvit 63 is Ekamai (do not tell anyone my grandparents had lived in Ekamai Soi 1 for ages. now, pretty embarrassing ). Sukhumvit 71 is Prakanong. Arrived about 6.45 and found the directions and the map were an actual representation of the area. The only problem was - no 12Call restaurant. (I was not looking for any particular restaurant, just one with a bit of farang-ness about it) Nothing. And no one knew of anything. Mooched around the area for about half-an-hour, but saw not a single farang. Asked around, got blank looks. Sorry, but if this place is any good, can we have a map published, or e-mailed? Went back home - caught a taxi at the cross-roads, said Bang Phli. Driver said OK, Bang Na-Trad Road? I said yes. Which kilometre? 35? No, 15. Oh, Suvarnabhumi Airport. Near enough. OK. And he switched on his meter without prompting. Off we went, twenty minutes later I told him to slow down. Oh, Thana City? Yes? U must have taken CTG's directions exactly,she never pitched either.U didn't see Blonco out near Thana City did ya???
