This is why proper Europeans were TOPS and invented the world. Our forefathers needed to exercise ingenuity over generations - otherwise they'd have died due to the harsh conditions. In hot countries you if could avoid getting eaten it was Easy St - at least easily accessible fruit and plant foot all year round - not so in Northern Europe where people had to PLAN AHEAD OR DIE hence evolved to be smarter than others. People might not like to acknowledge it but it is what is though I'm in now way asserting that all westerners all of much use - Tough times create tough men... Easy times create weak men hence here we are. -

Pregnant Woman Evacuated by Backhoe After Flash Flood Destroys Bridge: Lampang
Local authorities in Mae Phrik District, Lampang Province, used a backhoe to evacuate a heavily pregnant woman after a flash flood destroyed the only bridge connecting her village to the outside world. The woman, nine months pregnant and nearing her due date, was safely transported across the swollen stream to a hospital. The incident occurred in Ban Huai Khinok, Mae Phrik Subdistrict, after heavy rains caused a flash flood at around 04:00 on October 4, which washed away the village’s bridge. The destroyed bridge left more than 250 residents from 108 households stranded, as it was the sole access route into and out of the village. District Chief Piyawut Phithakboriban, who also heads the Mae Phrik Disaster Relief Centre, led the rescue team. As water levels in the Mae Phrik stream began to recede, the team deployed a backhoe to the site. Using the backhoe’s bucket, they transported 31-year-old Ms. Bum, who was nine months pregnant, to safety. She was then transferred to an ambulance and taken to Mae Phrik Hospital in preparation for her scheduled delivery on October 8. The rescue operation saw the pregnant woman seated inside the backhoe’s bucket, which was carefully maneuvered across the stream by the driver. The successful evacuation was a collective effort involving local officials, volunteers, and the Mae Phrik rescue team. Though the water levels are decreasing as the rains subside, the villagers remain isolated due to the destroyed bridge. Emergency machinery has been approved and is en route to the site, with construction on a temporary bridge expected to begin on October 6. The backhoe was provided by Mr. Montri Thanasitsunthorn, the head of Mae Phrik Subdistrict, along with assistance from local authorities, police, rescue teams, and volunteers. Efforts are ongoing to deliver food and water to the stranded residents while bridge repairs are underway. Picture courtesy of AmarinTV. -- 2024-10-06 RPReplay_Final1728133999.mp4 -

Cow Causes Motorcycle Crash Leading to Fatality in Nakhon Ratchasima
The incident occurred on the evening of October 4, when a cow unexpectedly ran in front of a motorcycle, leading to a fatal crash in Nakhon Ratchasima. The incident took place on the road between Ban Suai and Rang Khai Yai, near a gas station in Phimai District. According to reports, the victim, identified as 35-year-old Ms. Chinnicha (surname withheld), an employee of the Rang Khai Yai Subdistrict Municipality, was riding her Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle when the cow cut across her path. This caused her to lose control and fall onto the road. Moments later, she was struck by a black Chevrolet sedan, driven by 38-year-old Mr. Kampon (surname withheld), who was traveling in the opposite direction. The impact left Ms. Chinnicha severely injured. Rescue teams rushed her to Phimai Hospital, where medical staff made every effort to save her, but she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter. At her family home in Nakhon Ratchasima, Ms. Chinnicha’s father, Mr. Samphao (surname withheld), expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of his daughter. He recounted that she usually drove her car to work, about 7-8 kilometres from home, but for unknown reasons, she had taken her motorcycle that day. Tragically, she was only 5 kilometres from home when the accident occurred. Mr. Samphao shared his anguish, stating, “I feel devastated and cannot come to terms with this. The incident happened so quickly.” He also mentioned that his daughter was married and had an 8-year-old daughter. He is calling for the cow’s owner and the driver of the car to take responsibility and assist his family during this difficult time. -- 2024-10-06 -

Woman Fatally Shoots Popular Female DJ Over Debt Dispute in Chana, Songkhla
In an incident driven by a bitter debt dispute, a 60-year-old woman shot and killed a well-known local radio DJ in Chana, Songkhla Province. The victim, 40-year-old DJ Wanida Thongyod, was a popular host on a community radio station and a TikTok personality with a large following in the area. The incident occurred on October 3 at a laundromat in Saphan Mai Kaen, where the suspect, identified as Ms. Pornpimon “Nee” Sawatroj, confronted the DJ over a longstanding debt issue. Armed with a .38 revolver, Ms. Pornpimon fired multiple shots at the victim, striking her in the back of the head. After the shooting, the suspect took the wounded DJ to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. According to police reports, the dispute revolved around a 200,000-baht loan, which Ms. Pornpimon claimed had gone unpaid. DJ Wanida had guaranteed the loan for a friend, a local teacher, but despite numerous attempts to settle the debt, the matter remained unresolved. On the day of the shooting, tensions escalated, leading to the fatal altercation. Eyewitnesses described hearing three gunshots followed by screams. Ms. Pornpimon was seen conversing with her daughter outside the laundromat before her son-in-law, a police officer, arrived to assist her. Upon realising the gravity of the situation, the officer helped transport the wounded DJ to the hospital. Surveillance footage from nearby cameras captured the incident. DJ Wanida’s sister, Ms. Khwanrudee Thongyod, expressed shock and sadness, stating that her sister had always treated Ms. Pornpimon as a maternal figure. The two women had been close, and Ms. Pornpimon had been a strong supporter of Wanida’s online presence, often referred to as a “fan mother” for her role in encouraging the DJ’s success on TikTok. Despite their previous close relationship, the debt dispute proved too much, ultimately leading to the tragic shooting. Ms. Pornpimon later surrendered herself to local authorities, admitting to the crime and claiming she acted out of anger over the unpaid loan. She now faces charges of premeditated murder and illegal possession of a firearm. Police have denied bail for Ms. Pornpimon, fearing further unrest as family and friends of the victim express outrage over the senseless killing. Picture captured from CCTV. -- 2024-10-06- 1
