Surprised no reaction from BYD owners on this forum
Yep, most EVs from Korea are still expensive here. They are really good thou... I really love The Hyundai IONIQ 5, that would be my next car. I just love cars that the driver can enter from either side and doesn't have that bulky center consoles blocking my long legs 🤣 no money for the IONIQ 5 N, but that car is a serious beast ! -

Why is the MAGA movement so susceptible to crazy conspiracy theories?
MTG may be right on this topic as IT CAN BE DONE From 2007: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/1566898/Scientists-a-step-closer-to-steering-hurricanes.html Creating a hurricane is PERFECTLY POSSIBLE. Just sayin 👏 -

Americans in Thailand Walk to Exercise the Right to Vote Overseas
Most likely, a bunch of old Americans with nothing better to do. Or at least organised by one. Americans know where and how they can vote while in Thailand. Even the Embassy has sent letters out with links to register and vote. -

Rapid Greening of Antarctica: Scientists Alarmed by Climate Change Impact
You cannot just compare the temperatures in past Geological eras with the current day. First, there are the Milankovitch cycles. Second, the biggest impact on global temperatures are position of the continents, in past eras they could be far North or South of their current positions, or not even exist. Third, oceanic currents; if they distribute heat to the poles you can get a far more equitable climate globally, or if not the reverse. A hell of a lot of guesswork involved in guessing those temperatures, sometimes on just a few bits of data. All we do know is that in the last 5,000 years temperatures have been fairly stable, but are now rising rapidly. The only thing which has changed are CO2 levels due to the industrial revolution and use of wood and fossil fuels. Nothing else has substantially changed. The effects of climate change are not always realised or predicted. Who would have guessed that forest fires would become much bigger and more common even at current levels of warming, and anyone want to holiday in Florida just now? (Milton, category 5). -

First Conviction in Victoria for Nazi Salute: Self-Proclaimed Nazi Faces Sentencing
More justification of violence against those with whom you disagree. But at least you are being honest for once. -

First Conviction in Victoria for Nazi Salute: Self-Proclaimed Nazi Faces Sentencing
Actually the OP inserted it. pretty difficult to have a conversation about nazis without touching on anti-semitism, don'cha reckon? and perhaps a better question is why the poster felt a need to inject Palestine into a discussion about nazis in Australia- 1

Are Older Men in Thailand Trading Love for Financial Ruin
Lol, "true love". First you need to understand there is no such thing. Love is a fantasy of the soul, that can be triggered, ie ignited, by a smart woman, it may SEEM real to you, and to her too, but it is not actually REAL. It's just a fantasy of the mind. This applies in Asia, Europe, North America and everywhere else. It is unknown in the entire world as far as the female sex is concered, the "equal partners" fantasy is a MALE fantasy where we transpose our ideal into the relationship, however, women don't want equal partnership. They want the Prince and to feel small and look up, and enjoy the fruits of being with the Prince. Equal Partner is your ideal, not hers. -

Advice on Visa agency needed
What will come first, will you leave and reenter Thailand or apply for your next extension? If you leave and reenter, I would do nothing now. Quite possibly, this past missed TM47 notification will go unnoticed. Worst case scenario, they will fine you when you'll do your next TM47 (due 90 days after you reenter, don't miss it again). If you'll get your next extension without leaving Thailand in the meantime, there's no way around filing the notification late and accepting the fine. They won't process your extension otherwise. -

One Student Killed, One Critically Injured in Collision with Russian’s Maserati: Na Jomtien
yeah i am kind of curious as to why the news did not point finger at someone or lay blame. Surely it was meant to protect the boys only. if the accident was even remotely done by the foreigner it would be blasted all over the news. I think positioning of the car would tell who was at fault. Either the car was in his lane or not. Because of the odd lack or information regarding this, I am suspecting the boys did it. -

WOW, Thank you so much for the video! I have been wondering how to use the V2L for a house. You have really cool setup of over there! How do you ensure no power is sent to the car via the V2L? is that handled by your Inverter or by the switch? I never have major power outage in Bangkok, the MEA have recently upgraded all the power lines with those new super tall steel poles. my Voltage is always 233-236V even at high load. But in my country side home, power outages are very regular! planing for a setup like yours in the future with some batteries, ability to use V2L. Because I have a Huawei setup, I don't think I can attach any battery, would have to be the very expensive huawei ones. they are going for 140K THB for just 7kWh, and the 14kWh is 250K THB !!!! that's insane. Did you do all that setup yourself or you hired some of it?- 2

First Conviction in Victoria for Nazi Salute: Self-Proclaimed Nazi Faces Sentencing
Let us consider Mr Neeranam's appeal to use criminal sanctions. Who could possibly oppose the banning of immoral speech? "I listen to both sides, I do NOT wish to ban debate, I enjoy it. All I said was Islamophobia should be banned." He enjoys debate, Ladies and Gentleman! Just not what is phobic. It must be very bad this relatively new phobia of which he speaks. "take passages from the Quran out of context to support their arguments, particularly those that mention violence or punishment. For instance, verses that discuss conflict or warfare are sometimes highlighted without considering the historical and textual context in which they were revealed." Yikes. Out of context. But there's always a bigger context. You can always appeal to something more. Mr Neeranam wants to appeal to historicity, that the violence mentioned in the Koran was normal for its time and we should ignore it now. But why? Why should we ignore the passages as they are understood now? Is not the context today the effect of the passage on those who believe in them. What of the believers who believe it is the literal word of God. They certainly don't put the passages into the context of their time. They believe as they are written. Why shouldn't we? Why is it bigoted to take a more nuanced grasp of the context than Mr Neeranam, who has a rather cute naive utopian view.
