PHUKET: Due to the rising number infections each day, Phuket health officials have set up a second field hospital, this one at the Phuket Rajabhat University (PRU) campus north of Phuket Town.

Phuket health officials yesterday (Apr 21) marked nine new cases of infection, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of infection officially recognised during the current outbreak to 257.

Among the cases, 250 cases are now in hospitals in Phuket, one case has been moved to receive treatment in Bangkok, and six have been discharged, reported the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO).

I find it rather disgusting for someone to suggest that a British Iranian woman who's brother was murdered when she was 13 knows little of Iran. It was the country she was born into, and ideed spent her formative years. she in fact fled in 1980 when her 24 year old brother was murdered by the new government. and a year after attackers shot her mum, and tried to shoot her dad.

I wonder if this old sign from the now-defunct Roo Bar on Walking Street in Pattaya would be considered anti-Islamic under the U.K. definition. I believe the wording of the sign goes back to a Thai-owned bar in Bangkok in the 1980s, but many farang thought it funny and the sign spread after the Internet took hold. You could see this sign in numerous bars in the 1990s. In its day, this sign was much m ore prevalent than anti-Israeli signs. I've had this photo for years; I don't remember the source.
